the new and improved McGhan Medical ConfidencePlus™ Breast Implant
Replacement Program.
Highlight of this
improved program include:
 Deflations can now
be corrected with a saline breast implant of a different size or
style. (Any price differential is the responsibility of the
patient).- Saline breast
implant deflations may be upgraded to silicone-filled breast
implants if patients qualify under a McGhan Medical clinical study.
(Again, any price differential is the responsibility of the
patient).
- Patients who were
implanted with saline-filled breast implants after May 31, 1993 or
with silicone-filled breast implants sold and implanted after
September 30, 1997, are now covered under this new Improved
ConfidencePlus™ Program.
These exciting
changes, combined with these existing program features, make the
ConfidencePlus™ Program better than ever:
- 10 year
financial assistance period with up to $1,200 per surgery for
surgical fees not covered by insurance.
- 10 year
financial assistance period renewed with each
implant replacement.
- Lifetime unlimited
free breast implant replacement for deflations.
- 10 year no
charge surgical fee, for Dr. Gordon's patient's. If you have a
deflation and you come back to
Dr. Gordon to replace your deflation
and you are not adding to your surgery, the surgical expense will be
covered under this warranty.

Breast Implant Warranty Summary
What does the
warranty cover?
- Free Lifetime
Replacement - Throughout a patient's lifetime Mentor will
replace, at no cost, the same or a similar type of Mentor breast
implant when implant replacement is required. If a more expensive
product is requested, Mentor will invoice the surgeon for the price
difference.
- Financial
Assistance - For the first five years following a breast implant
procedure, Mentor will provide financial assistance up to $1,200,
per revision surgery to help cover operating room expenses and
anesthesia expenses not covered by insurance.
What does the
warranty cover?
The Mentor breast
implant warranty automatically applies to all Mentor saline and
silicone-gel filled mammary implants that are implanted in the United
States and Canada after October 1, 1998.
What events
are covered?
The Mentor breast
implant warranty applies to the following:
- Deflation due to
crease fold failure, patient trauma or unknown cause.
- Loss of valve
integrity.
- Rupture of any
Mentor gel or Becker prosthesis.
Other
loss-of-shell-integrity events also may be covered by this warranty. A
physician retained by Mentor will determine if specific, additional
events should be covered. However, events listed in the What
events are not covered? section on this page will not be covered.
